Psychology Training

In the field of psychology, the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine offers training opportunities for psychology trainees who wish to develop careers as clinical scientists. The psychology training programs include psychology externships, a one-year internship program accredited by the American Psychological Association and several fellowship programs that take place at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health.

All of the psychology training programs are designed to provide an experiential model of learning, to teach core facts and theories of clinical psychology and to incorporate current empirically supported knowledge and research into clinical training.
