Special Programs

The NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center campus program provides every resident with core competency in the practice of general psychiatry. However, it is also built on the philosophy that residency training should help every resident develop his/her unique interests and special skills in clinical work, teaching, administration, scholarship and research. To this end, the Residency Training Director, the Research Committee, and the faculty meet with each resident throughout the four years of residency training to help everyone deepen intellectual and clinical interests, find mentorship, and develop individual projects. In addition to the mentorship provided for every resident, the program is pleased to offer several special programs available to selected residents. Interest in any of these programs should be expressed at the time of application or interview.
