PGY-I Program Requirements
- All clinical duties required by the assigned.
- Supervision and case conferences on all services.
- Attendance and participation in all curriculum activities.
- Attendance and participation in Grand Rounds and M and M Conferences - at the campus where the resident is based - Grand Rounds lunch at Payne Whitney Westchester.
- PRITE exam.
- Appropriate licensing exams. New York State Medical license must be obtained by end of the PGY-II year.
- Mini-boards (formal observed interviewing) 1 x year.
- BCLS / ACLS certification.
- On call duties.
- Interns' Meeting with Chief Residents
- Medical Student Teaching. All PGY-I's on inpatient services will be paired with a third year medical student on their psychiatry rotation. They are responsible for teaching, reviewing cases, reviewing charts, etc.
- Daily work hour monitoring at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. All other requirements for employment at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Risk Management, HIPAA, MRI Safety Training.
- Yearly mini-boards.
